Project Overview
By combining prewired enclosures containing MZ-503 Multi-Zone Heating Controllers, a centralised Touch-7 interface and anti-ligature sensors, Titan delivered a solution that is easy to manage, energy efficient and scalable for future requirements. The system gives staff complete visibility and control of heating across the ward while helping to reduce energy consumption and operational costs.
MZ-503 Controllers
To simplify installation and reduce commissioning time on site, Titan supplied three prewired control enclosures. Each enclosure housed MZ-503 Multi-Zone Controllers, providing a neat, efficient and ready-to-install solution.
The MZ-503 controllers are designed to provide independent heating control for up to four zones per controller and are suitable for a variety of heating applications, including underfloor heating (UFH), radiant panels and other heating systems. The controllers can operate as a stand-alone solution or connect to a BMS.
Touch-7
A key requirement of the project was providing a simple and intuitive user experience for hospital staff. The Touch-7 interface installed in the main ward office provides centralised control of all 37 zones from a single location. Zones were named and organised into logical groups to reflect their function and location within the ward, allowing staff to quickly navigate the system and make adjustments where necessary.
This approach improves operational efficiency while helping to maintain consistent comfort levels throughout the facility. It also limits the opportunity for individuals to interfere with local heating settings, supporting better energy management and reducing unnecessary heating costs.
Anti-Ligature Sensors
Due to the specialist nature of the healthcare environment, anti-ligature temperature sensing was required throughout the project. Titan supplied anti-ligature plate temperature sensors, providing a safe and robust solution suited to the ward environment.
While plate temperature sensors were the most appropriate choice for this application, we offer a wide range of alternative sensing options to suit different building types and project requirements, including the our Gen 3 Room Sensor range.
